RESIDENT PROGRAMS

Long-Term Care
The Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre provides assistance to men and women with physical and/or cognitive impairments of varying degrees. The medical and nursing staff, the family, and resident contribute to the development of an individualized care plan which is adjusted as needs and circumstances change.

Special Approach
The Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre is a centre of excellence for dementia care. Our Special Approach Program provides a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment to men and women living with the physical and functional limitations associated with dementia.

SHORT-STAY PROGRAMS

Convalescent Care
Seniors in acute care hospital may require or benefit from a short stay at the Perley Rideau to regain their health and strength after an illness or surgery. These clients will either return home or move to a rehabilitation facility.

Respite Care
The Perley Rideau Respite Program offers short-stay residential services to seniors who otherwise live at home and are cared for by family. The program is helpful for family caregivers by providing relief from their caregiving responsibilities.

DAY PROGRAM

The Perley Rideau Day Program - jointly operated with Carefor Health and Community Services is open to seniors with Alzheimer Disease and related dementias. Clients come to the program from their own homes to enjoy a day of stress-free socialization and fun while family caregivers have a few hours off. 

GUEST HOUSE PROGRAM

The Guest House is a 24-7 respite service for people in the mid-stages of Alzheimer disease and related dementias. Please click on Guest House for more information.
